Paine Field Tri-Yearly Aircraft Crash Drill
Every three years, Paine Field conducts a full-scale aircraft crash drill to test and refine emergency response procedures in coordination with local fire departments, law enforcement, airport operations, and federal agencies. This critical training exercise simulates a real-life aircraft emergency, complete with volunteer "victims," realistic crash scenarios, and live-response action on the airfield.
As a photographer for this event, I documented the precision, teamwork, and readiness of the agencies involved—capturing powerful moments of coordination, triage response, and the behind-the-scenes efforts that ensure safety remains a top priority at Paine Field.
